This is Paco. He is a kitten that wandered over from somewhere very scary. When we noticed him, he was up high in a tree in our yard. He was crying and very afraid.
We gave him the temporary name of Paco due to his unique chin marking that makes him appear like he has a “soul patch”. His eyes are very piercingly beautiful and are a unique amber-green hazel color.
At first, Paco was difficult to approach as he would run away. But, over time and with a lot of care, he has become very social and motors and purrs whenever we touch him. He is litter box trained, socialized to children and the house, as well as to our dogs and chickens.
His fur is short and full, making him a great animal to pet. He shows no biting or scratching aggression to the family, but does play heartily with our other two cats as is normal for them. He is f-a-s-t, fun, and able to withstand some rough handling from the younger members of the family with patience. He knows he is safe and loved here.
His markings indicate he is related to the stray that was delivered to us cold and hungry from the neighbor across the street. We kept her but can’t keep Paco. (You are welcome to rename him)
He eats dry food and is contented with that at this time. You are welcome to spoil him with treats and such, but we have not at this point.
He is an inside/outside kitten but we recommend keeping him indoors for the evenings as well as during the first two weeks at least with his new family. He does not wonder away from our property and … still climbs trees. :)
